Vineyards
White Hawk
| White Hawk (Santa Barbara) - Syrah |
|
|
|
This impressive Santa Barbara vineyard is 21 miles west of the
Pacific and 2 miles north of Los Alamos. Seen Sideways? This vineyard
wasn't so far away. It's planted at 900 feet elevation on pure sand
that immediately drains off water and nutrients and force the vines to
work extra-hard to survive. A strong core of acidity is complemented
by elements of meat and blackberries. It custom farmed using
sustainable and primarily organic viticulture. The yields are
miniscule, the berries intense and we're counting the days until the
next harvest. |

Sleepy Hollow
| Sleepy Hollow Vineyard (Santa Lucia Highlands) - Pinot
Noir & Chardonnay |
|
|
|
Located in Santa Lucia Highlands just west of Gonzales, this 400+
acre vineyard is planted primarily to pinot noir and chardonnay over
30 years ago. Warm, sunny days are bracketed by foggy mornings and
evenings - creating large daily temperature swings that help maintain
acidity and pushing ripening out until late in the season. The
vineyard is very gravelly, ensuring excellent drainage - very
important for growing great pinot and chard. This vineyard provides
fruit which creates whites with citrus, floral and tropical notes, and
reds with cherry, blackberry and distinctive spice. |
